How and Why are Business Travellers Cheating Their Expense Reports?

                       A KDS White Paper

How and Why are Business Travellers Cheating Their Expense Reports? It is a question that has been asked, addressed and in some circumstances ignored for years. To successfully answer this we need to address the financial, emotional and psychological implications that employee expense has upon the organisation and the individual.
One main truth is evident, whether through a lack of understanding or  a lack of care, misunderstanding how and why expense reports are falsely completed means increased costs, lower programme performance and greater employee dissatisfaction.
In December 2011, KDS surveyed business employees, asking the questions we have all wanted to ask, the results were enlightening, giving us a better understanding of why travel expenses can be a major issue for employees and thus why they are an issue for the organisation.
Expense Management affects employees behaviour and a solution to employees cheating on their expense claims  is an integrated travel and expense solution.
